As many of you know, we've had a really poor start for snow this year. Although Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley, and Canyons have done a great job at making snow, we still have areas of each resort that aren't open yet.
Well Park City Mountain Resort decided to call on higher powers this weekend. They invited the members of the Ute Indian tribe to perform a blessing at the resort for snowfall. The Albert Lance Manning (Ute's Spiritual Leader) and Frank Arrowchis both led prayers in Ute and English this morning (Saturday, 14 January). Then the blessing was finished with traditional Native American performance of songs and dance.
I just looked at the snow report. Low and behold we have snow coming on Monday. So, it must have worked.
